RouteXpert Review You leave the site in a southerly direction and soon you leave the Dordogne department and enter the Lot. Just before Cahors, after about 35 km, you reach the river Lot (the department's namesake). You follow the winding course of the Lot. In one of the bends of the Lot, in the town of Saint Géry Vers, you can enjoy a café au lait.
After coffee you continue your way along the Lot. There is one photo point included in the route, but you can insert several photo points yourself. A river has a lot to offer in terms of view.
It was enough at Saint-Martin_Labouval, you're not crazy about Lotje! So you turn your back on the Lot and go "inland". You follow a kind of smuggler's road. Just before you visit the 2nd important river in this department, the Célé, you can take a nice picture of the town of Sauliac-sur-Célé in one of the hairpins. The Célé arises from the Lot and crosses the entire department. You follow the river until our 2nd stop in Figeac. There you can have lunch on the corner at La Monnaie.
After lunch we leave Figeac and head north. It's time to buckle up, because the D840 and the D940 are incredibly beautiful steering roads.
Enjoying the road just traveled you come to the picturesque Rocamadour. This town is definitely worth a visit and maybe it's time for a refueling stop as well. After refueling you drive into the old town that is built against a mountain wall. You can drive all the way through and have a drink in the middle of the town at La Maison de Famille and enjoy the view.
You leave Rocamadour and take the opposite road. On this road there is an opportunity to take a moment to reflect on all the beauty that you see now and to record it on the sensitive SD card.
You drive on and soon you are at the main river of this area, the Dordogne. You follow the Dordogne and you cross it a number of times. You can really marvel at all the beautiful things you see around you. The jagged rock formations are always your faithful companion along the river.
At Domme-le-Port you cross the river one more time and drive towards Camping Moto Dordogne.
Park your motorcycle, take off your helmet, try in vain to wipe that grin from your face and while you are sipping your just ordered drink realizing that you are happy with another successful holiday together with MRA.

This MRA route collection contains 25 beautiful motorcycle routes in different parts of France, such as the Ardennes, the Alsace, Vercors, the Drôme, the Ardèche, Cote d'Azure, Gorges du Verdon, the Ariège, the Dordogne and Brittany.
The routes have been carefully created by Bert Loorbach, who is an enthusiastic motorcyclist himself. He lived in France for a year and a half, during which time he devoted himself to mapping the unknown and beautiful back roads of France especially for motorcyclists.
The routes are bundled in the Motortourgids France part 1 of Kosmos publishing house and now also available in MyRouteApp.
I have taken over the routes in MRA and sometimes adjusted them slightly to make them even more interesting for the motorcyclist.

24 Magnificent trails in France
It is clear that France is one of the most beautiful and best touring countries. It offers an incredibly varied landscape with good roads and a pleasant climate. It is not for nothing that you see so many motorcyclists there. My previous collection of 25 routes in France (25 Magnificent routes in France) were based on the route descriptions from the Motortourgids France part 1 made by Bert Loorbach.
This collection of 24 routes comes from Motortourgids France part 2. In this collection, a difference has been made between approach routes and motorcycle tours in a certain area. The approach routes can also be used in combination with the routes from Motortourgids France part 1
The routes are sometimes slightly adjusted based on the tips that Bert Loorbach gives in his description, or because of another place to spend the night, or to reach the minimum length of 2 hours for the MRA Library. For each route, the review contains a more detailed description, including options to stay overnight or places of interest along the way, which are also indicated with a POI and if possible with a short description.
Two or more routes have been created for a number of areas, such as for Burgundy, Auvergne, The Alps, Tarn and Cévennes and Nord-Pas de Calais. These routes can be nicely combined in a multi-day trip.
