Certainly not a destination you can go to by motorcycle, fortunately there are plenty of rental companies on the large islands where you can rent a motorcycle or car.
For those who want to explore these exotic islands, we have included a number of routes in the RouteXpert library.
The choice to do this by motorcycle or car is yours.
Because of the many beautiful viewpoints and overwhelming nature, this route gets 5 stars.

From the north you drive along the coast and soon the first viewpoints appear along the route. The view at the Hanalei Valley Lookout is especially beautiful. After these first impressions you continue to the Kilauea Lighthouse and enjoy the many beautiful views over the taro fields along the way. Taro is a root vegetable with dark brown skin the color of coconut, which when cooked has a taste between potato and carrot/chestnut.
After a few more stops at waterfalls and/or viewpoints, you suddenly drive through the Tunnel of Trees, a special road where the trees form a kind of tunnel because they have grown in an arc over the road. In Koloa you can stop for a cup of coffee at the Dark Horse Coffee Roasters. If they can't serve a good cup of coffee there. After coffee a stop at Shipwreck Beach. This sandy beach is known as one of the most beautiful beaches on Kauai, with of course, as the name suggests, some shipwrecks.
Then you first go to the west coast to take a dip in Queens Pond. Then you return the same way to visit Waimea Canyon State Park and the adjacent Kōkeʻe State Park. The beautiful Waimea Canyon, this special nature reserve is also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Due to the combination of the red canyon with green mountains and waterfalls. And it doesn't stop there, because the green mountain ranges in Kōkeʻe State Park, where you have a great view of the Kalalau Valley and the famous Na Pali Coast, are also amazing. You can take beautiful walks in both parks and both are completely free to visit.
After the last viewpoint in this route you have to drive back about 6 km to reach the final end point of this route. Time to enjoy and process all the impressions of the day. Have you now seen everything of the island? The answer is No!
More than 65% of the island is not accessible by motorcycle/car or on foot. To get a really good impression, book a helicopter flight.
