We drive from Fynshoved in Denmark via Flensburg to Zeven in Germany.
It's a long drive of almost 430 kilometers, with sections of highway and a ferry crossing to avoid the traffic at Hamburg.
For a change, you can plan a longer stop in Flensburg.
This route has a 3 star rating.

On our way back to Germany
Today we drive from Martofte in Denmark to Zeven in Germany, including parts of the motorway, as we have to drive a large distance.
There is no possibility to have breakfast at the campsite in Martofte, but after about 30 kilometers we stop for fuel and breakfast at Cirkle K in Agedrup. They serve delicious fresh rolls, paninis, other breakfast products and freshly brewed coffee.
In Germany we drive again on provincial roads via Flensburg to Glückstadt where we take the ferry to Wischhafen. Then via country road to the final destination Zeven. We stayed overnight with friends in 2018, but for this route the final destination is a good camping to stay overnight
It is an option to plan some time in Flensburg, today in the far north of Schleswig-Holstein, an old port city. In the maritime museum you will learn everything about the port and the shipyards, about shipowners and merchants, about shipyards and ships, about ropes and rigging, about machines and engines, about engineers and captains and their daily life at sea. There is a lot to experience here. A total of seven exhibitions and a special exhibition with countless stations to try out, touch, look, listen and marvel at make a visit to the museum an exciting voyage of discovery for young and old! In Flensburg you can also enjoy a good lunch in one of the many restaurants.
You can choose to drive to Zeven via Hamburg, but this route avoids the crowds at Hamburg and we drive inland, with a short stop in Tönning for a drink, to Glückstadt, where we cross the Elbe river by ferry to Wischafen. The crossing takes about 25 minutes and there is a ferry every 30 minutes. In the summer it can be very busy, so expect waiting times. The costs are €3.50 for a motorbike with rider.
From Wischafen it is about 70 kilometers to Zeven, over beautiful German "Landstraßen". In Zeven you can stay overnight at the Sonnenkamp campsite.
