RouteXpert Review We drive on beautiful roads from Ulvik, via Voss, to Vangsnes. In Vangsnes we take the ferry across the Sognefjord to Dragsvik, and then continue on to Innvik.
Voss is a municipality on Lake Vangsvatnet in the Norwegian province of Hordaland. There are ski areas in the area. In the summer there are opportunities for water sports and sports such as paragliding and skydiving. There is also a waterfall, the Tvindefossen, located 110 meters from the E16.
In Vangsnes there is a 22-meter statue of Fridtjof den frøkne. It represents the protagonist of the Old Norse Frithjofssaga. This pompous sculpture was made by German sculptor Max Unger and was unveiled in 1913 in the presence of Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany, who liked to visit this region with his imperial yacht in the summer (Source: Wikipedia).
No tickets can be purchased in advance for the ferry from Vangsnes to Dragsvik.
As soon as we get off the ferry we drive from Dragsvik, via Vassenden and Skei, to Innvik where we spend the night in the Fjordhotell.
There are enough fuel options on the route. I advise you to buy a packed lunch in Ulvik, on the way to Innvik you will come across a lot of nice picnic spots!
Because I have not (yet) driven this route myself, it will get 4 stars.

Sogn og Fjordane (Urban East Norwegian: [ˈsɔŋn ɔ ˈfjûːrɑnə] (listen); English: "Sogn and Fjordane") was, up to 1 January 2020, a county in western Norway, when it was merged to become part of Vestland county. Bordering previous counties Møre og Romsdal, Oppland, Buskerud, and Hordaland, the county administration was in the village of Hermansverk in Leikanger municipality. The largest town in the county was Førde.

Good preparation is half the battle, so read the tips below carefully.
1. Check the weather forecast. It can be very hot in Sweden & Norway, but it can also get very cold. Always check the weather forecast before you go, so that you can pack the right clothes.
2. Decide in advance which route or routes you want to follow. This way you don't drive around like a headless chicken and you can make the most of your days off in these beautiful countries.
3. Familiarize yourself with the traffic rules. In Sweden & Norway, in some situations, slightly different rules apply than in the Netherlands. By immersing yourself in the traffic rules, you prevent (unknowingly) committing a traffic violation and/or putting yourself in a dangerous situation.
