This is part 9 that runs from Moose Jaw to Regina with a fun tour of Saskatchewan.
The Trans Canada Highway passes through all the southern provinces of the country. The route can be driven in different ways. There are namely in various alternative routes that also belong to the TCH. The total distance is around 8,000 km. We not only drive the TCH, but will take the rural roads as much as possible, because only highway driving is too boring and Canada has many beautiful roads through its beautiful landscape.
You drive through all provinces and through very varied and scenic landscapes, from the Rockies in the West, the Central Prairies to the Eastern Maritimes and the Northern Forest.
The riding season is generally April through October with longer seasons on the west coast and southern Ontario.
Provide good all season clothing or bring rain gear, depending on the province and the season the weather can change and you may be surprised by a rain or even a snow or hail shower, so be prepared.
In Canada the metric system is used, so speeds are indicated in Km / h. A helmet requirement (DOT approved) applies throughout Canada.
You will see many wildlife throughout Canada. your similar animals from province to province, such as deer, buffalos, moose, caribou, wolves, pumas, bears, mountain goats, sheep, lynx, coyotes, foxes, raccoons, badgers, various rodents and all kinds of birds.
Even if it is very tempting to stop for a photo, don't do it, it can be very dangerous.

RP16 Driving through Saskatchewan
The drive to Regina is approximately 70 kilometers on the Trans Canada Highway. In Regina spend some time on sight seeing and visiting museums and parks, these are marked with an RP and POI;
RP2 The Mackenzie Art Gallery Museum is from a private collection donated to Regina College by Norman MacKenzie. The MacKenzie Art Gallery's permanent collection has over 5,000 works spanning more than 5,000 years of Canadian history.
RP3 The Royal Saskatchewan Museum is a natural history museum. It was founded as the Provincial Museum in 1906 after Charles Noddings found a large rock with a sculpted face in the Beaver Hills area on December 25, 1905, which he donated to Provence. The first museum in Saskatchewan and the first provincial museum in the three Prairie counties. It was formed to preserve and preserve natural history specimens and objects of historical and ethnological interest.
RP9 Wascana Waterfowl Park Display Ponds is a nice place to relax. There are over 70 picnic areas, and many places and four playgrounds to bring family and friends to enjoy Wascana Center.
RP12 The Saskatchewan Science Center is an interactive science museum. It is owned and operated as a non-profit charity. Located in a former power plant at the Wascana Center, the Saskatchewan Science Center officially opened in April 1989 as the Powerhouse of Discovery.
After absorbing all culture and history we drive out of the city to take a nice drive north of Regina, you drive here through beautiful wide landscapes with lawns, forests, hills and lakes. Along the way you pass a number of small villages where you can stop for a drink or something to eat. Some parts of the ride are easy gravel roads.
We drive back via the small town of Qu'Appelle and take a few kilometers Trans Canada Highway on the way to Regina, where we spend the night. Regina is a beautiful city with lots to do, so you can choose to plan an extra night here.
I rate this route with 3 *** Stars because of the many sights in Regina. The ride itself is fairly straightforward and there are a number of options for driving via a different route (unpaved roads).
