At Dümpelfeld you dive into the beautiful steering roads of the North Eifel and see the remnants of the terrible flood of 2021 along the way.
After a lot of swinging you enter Belgium. Please note that the roads in Belgium do not always have the same quality as in other countries. Writer of this can provide a video where he almost lost the engine.
You follow the road towards Stavelot. Just before Stavelot you have a great view over this town and in Stavelot, you will find the old Abbey, where there is plenty to do, including a museum of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. You don't think about this for too long, literally and figuratively, because you have to go to the next stop.
It doesn't matter what time it is and how long ago you had your last meal. In Trois Ponts you are almost obliged to eat the almost tastiest fries in Belgium at Friterie Bertrand. Adding a croquette completes it.
After this meal you have a viewpoint at Val de Wanne on your route before you can refuel price-consciously in the head of Luxembourg.
After your refueling you leave Luxembourg again and meander through the Belgian Ardennes. At Houffalize you have a nice viewpoint and La Roche-en Ardenne is a nice place to drive through.
At Tenneville you can take a short drink break and possibly something to eat, if the meal at Bertrand was too little.
There was a lot of fighting in this part of Belgium in both wars. For the victims of WWI you will find a cemetery along the way. You are now driving towards the French border, but before that you can eat soup in Bouillon… no, ????, but have a drink on a terrace on the river Semois, a branch of the Meuse.
After this you drive into France, out again and in again. The wonderful route is on the border of both countries and brings a helmet-wide smile to your face.
Winding your way you reach the old fortified town of Rocroi, which is very reminiscent of Bourtange, among others. You can fill up your tank at the local convenience store for tomorrow's ride.
At Revin you follow the course of the Maas. And as everyone knows: a river makes the roads winding… or something like that.
You arrive at hotel Les Boucles de Meuse (the bends of the Meuse). A little later you're enjoying a delicious red wine and matching excellent grilled steak and think: damn, I would never have found that without MRA.

Top 5 Car and Motorcycle Routes in the Eifel
The Eifel is the eastern part of the medium plateau Eifel-Ardennes. It is located north of the Moselle and west of the Rhine. The largest part is in Germany, a small part is in Belgium, in the East Cantons. The German part of Eifel is located in the federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. The highest point is the Hohe Acht with 747 meters.
Several chains can be distinguished in the Eifel:
The northernmost part is called the Nordeifel, which in Belgium connects to the High Fens;
To the east of this is the Ahrgebirge, this part is located north of the Ahr in the Ahrweiler district;
South of the Ahr is the Hohe Eifel (or Hocheifel), of which the Hohe Acht (747 m) is the highest point, and also the highest point in the entire Eifel region;
To the west, near the Belgian border, the hills are known as Schneifel, part of the wider Snow Eifel area with peaks reaching up to 698 metres;
South and east of the Hohe Eifel is the Volcano-Eifel, a volcanic area with many crater lakes (Maare).
The southern part of the Eifel is less high. The area is bisected by streams and rivers running southwards. These streams flow into the Moselle. The largest of these rivers is the Kyll; the hills around this river are known as the Kyllwald;
In the south, the Eifel ends in the Voreifel.
In the north of the Eifel there are some large reservoirs. The largest of these is the reservoir in the Roer that was created by the construction of the Roerdal dam.
The Nürburgring is also located in the Eifel, a well-known car circuit for Formula 1 races, among other things. Since 2004, part of the north of the Eifel has become the Eifel National Park. This National Park falls entirely within the German-Belgian nature park High Fens-Eifel. Another part of the Eifel falls within the South Eifel Nature Park.
