We leave Mérida: A Roman jewel towards the Ayuela Reservoir: An oasis of peace and quiet landscapes. Enjoy the tranquility of this reservoir, surrounded by green landscapes. The Ayuela reservoir is an ideal place to enjoy nature. You can take a walk along the shore of the reservoir, practice water sports or simply sit and admire the view.

The Alcántara reservoir is a popular destination for fishing lovers. Its crystal clear waters are home to a wide variety of fish species, making it a perfect place. You can also go boating, canoeing or kayaking.

We arrive at the town of Guijuelo, famous for its Iberian hams.
We tried the delicious hams at the Rincón Del Curro Restaurant and continued on our way.
We continue along the Ruta de la Plata towards Salamanca which we cross. Salamanca is a university city with a rich historical heritage, it will captivate you with its medieval and Renaissance architecture. Visit the Plaza Mayor, the University of Salamanca and the New Cathedral and its Roman Bridge.
And from there we headed directly along the highway about 100 km to Ávila, the city of the walls, it is a historic city with a unique charm. Walk along its walls and explore its old town, with its cobbled streets and medieval buildings. Admire the Ávila Cathedral, a stunning example of Romanesque architecture.
The Hotel Mirador de Santa Ana is the perfect place to rest after a trip along the Silver Route. Enjoy its panoramic views of the city and relax in its comfortable rooms.
