RouteXpert Review This ride is about 211 km and we visit several interesting sights.
The route has beautiful roads with many curves. Along the way you will pass nice villages and towns where you can stop for a break or sight seeing.
From Kilkenny we first drive to the Dunmore Caves (RP2). These caves, consisting of a series of rooms formed over millions of years, contain some of the best calcite formations that can be found in an Irish cave. Vikings also had bloodbaths here.
RP7; Insitioge bridge, take a moment to enjoy the scenery and takes some pictures.
RP8; SS Dunbrody Irish Emigrant ship is a tourist attraction on an authentic reproduction of an 1840 emigrant boat and offers a world-class interpretation of the experience of the famine migrant. There are guided tours with costumed artists and themed exhibitions that provide a unique insight into the courage and fortitude with which Irish people face a desperate situation. https://www.dunbrody.com/
RP9 short stop to take a picture at the ruins of Dunbrody Abbey and Garden.
RP11 fresh air on the beach at Duncannon
At RP21 we arrived in Wexford, a small harbor town where you can stop to eat and some shopping, there are several shops, pubs and restaurants in the narrow streets.
At RP24 is the Irish National Heritage Park is an open air museum that tells the story of human settlements in Ireland http://www.irishheritage.ie/.
The return trip to Kilkenny runs on beautiful country roads.

Arriving in Kilkenny a visit to Kilkenny Castle is a must.
