Limfjorden
The route heads south along the coast to the Nissum fjord.
At Thorsminde there is the Strandingsmuseum St. George just before the bridge over the harbor.
Strandingsmuseum St. George in Thorsminde on the edge of the North Sea tells the story of strandings and shipwrecks on the rugged west coast of Jutland and in the North Sea and includes many thousands of finds from the wreck of the English warship HMS St. George, which together ran aground at Thorsminde on Christmas Eve in 1811 with HMS Defense. Nearly 1,400 sailors died when the two ships sank.
The many exciting finds from the wreck - cannons and pistols, gold coins, musical instruments, wine bottles - provide a fantastic picture of life on board in 1811. Dive into the stranding stories and experience how the violent events affected the coastal population.
Further south there is a VW retro museum for enthusiasts at Ulfborg with old VW vans and other accessories from the 1950s to 1980s. This is the southernmost point of the route so the continuation goes north again towards Lemvig, a beautiful harbor town on the Lem Vig. Here you will find both a museum and the beautiful Lemvig Kirke.
In its original form the church was a late Gothic nave building, but in its expanded form appears as a nave building with two and three side chapels in the north and south respectively, and a west tower.
The tower burned down in 1683 after a lightning strike. The rebuilt tower had to be rebuilt as early as 1788 due to dilapidation. In the 19th century, the tower, like the other facades of the church, got ridges. It was not until the 1930s that the tower got its current baroque onion spire.
Further up the route at Oddesund Nord there is an observation tower that overlooks the bridge and the fjord.
The Oddesund Bridge is a drawbridge over the Oddesund in Denmark, part of the Limfjord. The bridge connects the island of Vendsyssel-Thy with Jutland since 15 May 1938. The Oddesund Bridge was built between 1934 and 1938.
For sustainability enthusiasts, you can visit Sonder Ydby Teh Wind Museum. Since its inception, Folkecenter has been a "must stop" for all people working - or simply interested in - renewable energies. Its location in the middle of nature makes it very pleasant to visit the 10 hectares that form the center. By visiting Village for Green Research, where Folkecenter is located, visitors will have the chance to see several examples of renewable energy technologies being applied in practice.
Further north before Vilsund you pass Skyum bjerge, a beautiful hilly terrain with many burial mounds from the early Bronze Age. Parts of the area were protected in 1955. Ring gold, weapons and bronze jewelry have been found in some Bronze Age mounds. In an effort to preserve the moorland, Gotland fur sheep have been allowed to graze in the area. There are information boards about the area in the parking lot. There is a beautiful view from the disabled turning area.
At Vilsund, just across the bridge, there is an opportunity to have lunch with a view over the water.
The penultimate highlight of this route is Hanklit, a 61-meter-high slope of volcanic ash with a history of more than 55 million years.
Just before the end of the route you will pass Jesperhus Blomsterpark. Scandinavia's largest flower park is full of perennials, roses, various summer flowers of the world, succulents and gigantic flower figures. You can also schedule a coffee stop here.
Today's end point is Nykobing Mors, a beautiful city on the water where there is plenty to do and you can eat and sleep well.

13 day roundtrip South Norway
A 13-part motorcycle journey through southern Norway is like a letter to nature, where every bend and every horizon reveals a new chapter. This journey is characterized by the smell of pine forests and the sound of cascading waterfalls, while your engine rumbles softly on the winding roads that take you deeper into the Norwegian wilderness.
A highlight of this trip is Dalsnibba, where you ride above the clouds and are greeted by panoramic views of deep fjords and snow-capped mountains. It feels like the world stands still for a moment as you admire the majestic beauty of the Geirangerfjord below you.
From there, the road takes you to Geiranger, an enchanting village nestled by the fjord of the same name. As you drive along the fjord, the waterfalls – such as the famous “Seven Sisters” – seem to perform a dance. Here you feel the grandeur of nature right into your soul.
The next few days will take you along the iconic Trollstigen, the "Troll Road". With its eleven hairpin bends and steep cliffs, it is an adventure in itself. As you reach the peaks, it feels like you are touching the ancient legends of Norway itself. The silence is only broken by the rushing of mountain streams and the hum of your engine.
Another highlight of the trip is the Atlantic Road, a masterpiece of road engineering that winds gracefully over small islands and bridges, as if designed by nature itself. With the Atlantic Ocean on either side, you feel the freedom of the open water, as the sea breeze caresses your face.
Every day is filled with contrasts: deep fjords and high mountain passes, serene lakes and wild coastlines. Norwegian culture – from picturesque villages to charming mountain huts – invites you to stop and enjoy heart-warming food and friendly encounters.
This journey is not just a ride; it is an ode to adventure, connection and the pure beauty of the world. You will return not only with unforgettable memories, but also with a heart that is forever a piece of Norway.
Some of the routes include sections of gravel roads. These roads are of such a quality that they are easy to drive for everyone. Gravel roads and cabins are an integral part of the real Norwegian adventure. They offer a unique opportunity to explore the country in an authentic, intimate way, away from the hustle and bustle of paved main roads and standard tourist accommodations.
Using gravel roads and staying in cabins offers a perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. During the day you explore rugged, remote areas where asphalt ends and nature begins. In the evening you relax in a cozy cabin, where the simplicity of life and the beauty of Norway come together.
Of course, you are also free to pitch your own tent at the campsites where the routes end.
This combination makes a holiday in Norway an unforgettable experience, where you get to know the real soul of the country. It is a way to get closer to nature, challenge yourself and at the same time have a warm refuge to recharge for the next day of discoveries.
