There are no scheduled stops for refueling, eating or drinking. When the opportunity arises, stop at one of the points indicated by a POI. Along the way there are several small villages with restaurants or cafes.
Hotels, sights and recommended points to stop to enjoy the view are also marked with a POI.
Day 6 we drive through three beautiful nature parks;
1. Parque natural Saja-Besaya; a nature park in Cantabria, Spain. In the northern slope of the Cantabrian mountains, beech and oak forests of the Saja-Besaya Natural Park stretch out; an important nature reserve full of deer, roe deer and golden eagles. Two important rivers have their origins in these mountains, Carrión and Pisuerga.
2. Parque natural de Fuentes Carrionas y Fuente Cobre; In the most remote and inaccessible border of the province of Palencia is a spectacular, and almost unknown, mountain range. The tops and ridges, modeled after the hard and tight limestone, are more than 2500 meters high and form a unique relief based on fantastic needles, impressive cliffs, rough cantiles and deep valleys.
3. Natural Park of Montana de Riano and Mampodre; The Montaña de Riaño and Mampodre Regional Park, recognized as Picos de Europa Regional Park since October 2019, is a protected natural area in the northeastern corner of the province of León, the autonomous community of Castilla y León, Spain.
In addition to the beautiful winding roads, you can also enjoy the beautiful panoramas and a few beautiful azure blue lakes during this route.
A number of passes are indicated with a Route Points;
RP4. Pas; Puerto de El Portillón
RP10. Pass: Puerto de Palombera
RP12. Pass: Collado de Carmona
RP21. Pass: Puerto de las Portillas
RP22. Pass: Puerto de San Glorio
I appreciate this with 5 stars because of the beautiful roads and beautiful different panoramas
