Route Summary This is the 22nd in a series of 43 Endangered ANWB routes. These were published in the Promoters between April 2015 and September 2016.
My 22nd review of a route that I have not made myself and have not (yet) driven. I have checked all waypoints and placed them neatly on the road where necessary. I also spaced the start point and end point of the route a bit further apart to avoid navigating directly to the end point.
* 05-06-2023: Route adjusted after user findings. No longer through Vianen and Lexmond, but across the dike.

RouteXpert Review The polder landscape consists of the Alblasserwaard and the Vijfheerenlanden, which were mined in the late Middle Ages. The age of these polders can be seen on numerous tracks in the landscape, such as the villages that have been built in a long ribbon along dike and reclamation route.
At right angles to this are the meadows, which cross the country hundreds of meters long and narrow. (Source: Promoter No. 05-2015; Endangered ANWB routes).

The route 'Overijssel in bird's eye view' includes the oldest house in the Netherlands and the route along the IJssel is probably the most beautiful piece of asphalt in the Netherlands.
