Route Summary This is the 33rd in a series of 43 Endangered ANWB routes. These have been published in the Promotors between April 2015 and September 2016.
My 33rd review of a route that I did not make myself but did drive. I checked all route points and placed them neatly on the road. I have also set the starting point and end point of the route a bit further apart to avoid navigating directly to the end point.
At route point 22 (Red), a stop is inserted so you can visit the flood museum (very interesting) and also at this location you can have a bite to eat.
Finally, I made the route the same for TomTom, Garmin and MyRoute-app Navigation users.

RouteXpert Review The Schouwse Dijk, a grassy dyke between Zierikzee and Brouwershaven, still marks the eastern border of Schouwen. On the other side of De Gouwe there were two islands: Duiveland and Dreischor.
All in all a beautiful area with dunes and forests, creeks and the Grevelingenmeer for water recreation and arable land where cereals, sugar beet, onions, grass seed, potatoes and corn grow. (Source: Promoter No. 04-2016; Endangered ANWB routes).

About this region
Zeeland is the westernmost and least populous province of the Netherlands. The province, located in the south-west of the country, borders North Brabant to the east, South Holland to the north, and the country of Belgium to the south and west. It consists of a number of islands and peninsulas (hence its name, meaning "Sealand") and a strip bordering the Flemish provinces of East and West Flanders.
